I, Haridas Mistry is an avid currency collector who has long been gathering coins, old banknote, commemorative coin, and antique currency from various countries. My collection houses numerous rare and historical coins—both domestic and foreign—that can be regarded as valuable artifacts of history and culture.
My collecting journey began with an interest in currencies and old banknotes from various countries. Gradually, he started acquiring coin and note from diverse sources and began learning about their history, characteristics, and significance. Over time, his collection continued to grow and expand.
Md. Robiul Islam (Robi Bhai) played a pivotal role in this journey of mine. He assisted in acquiring various domestic and foreign currencies, provided essential information and insights regarding both antique and modern coins, and facilitated introductions within the collecting community. Furthermore, he helped become a member of the Khulna Collectors Society, thereby enabling him to connect with other collectors, exchange ideas, and gain valuable experience.
I am currently keen on preserving my collection for future generations. To this end, I have involved my son, Rupayan Mistri, in the collecting activities and enrolled him as a member of the Khulna Collector Society. Through this initiative, he hopes that the collection—built over many years of hard work—will be preserved for the future and will highlight the importance of history, culture, and coin collecting to the new generation.
