I am Joy Nandi, a businessman from Kishoreganj. I am collecting worldwide banknotes & coins from my childhood & this time is almost 18 years long. I started collection from the gifts from my grandmother & my 1st collection was Indian 2 paisa coins. From that time to till now, my family & friends are inspiring me a lot in my collection life.
However, I continued collection from the attraction of different currencies from different countries, designs, cultures. From these currencies, I try to feel the touches of the people of different countries, their joys & sorrows; try to realize their cultures, habits...
From the starting to next 14-15 years, I used to collect both coins & banknotes. In this period, I've collected currencies of 260+ different countries & territories. But from last 3 years, I am collecting banknotes, especially based on the theme of "Queen Elizabeth 2nd portrait." Besides it, I have interest in French banknotes, colonial banknotes, animal & bird theme banknotes.
I have a plan for my collection. I will try to make a personal museum of my collection. People will visit here & watch the beauties of worldwide currencies & also gain knowledge of currency from here.
