This is Sabbir Ahmed, a Exonumist collector from Bangladesh. I have chosen Exonumia specially british India, Pakisntan, and Bangladeshi medals as a hobby and collection subject mainly because of the context of history and historical events. Medals are an achievement of honor that is difficult to obtain compared to coins and other numismatic items. There are medal collectors all over the world but they are relatively few in number. The purpose of my collection is to make my leisure time enjoyable as well as to inform young collectors and students interested in history in Bangladesh.
As a founding member of the Medal Collectors of Bangladesh (MCB), an organization of medal collectors, I have been working to organize medal exhibitions, seminars, and information portals at various universities and educational institutions in the country.
