My name is Md. Samiul Islam. I am 23 years old and currently studying in the first year of an honors program in the Department of History. I am from Dinajpur District, Bangladesh.
I began collecting archaeological artifacts in 2024. I am a history enthusiast and a student of history. My journey as a collector began with an insatiable curiosity about the past and a deep interest in ancient civilizations and cultures.
My collection includes various types of archaeological artifacts. I am particularly interested in the history, heritage, and archaeological remains of the Gupta, Pala, Sultanate, and Mughal periods in the Varendra region. The rich past and historical artifacts of this region continuously inspire me.
Notable items in my collection include ancient fossils, decorated burnt bricks, terracotta spheres, plaques, clay horses, lamps, bronze utensils, Bangle, cowrie currency, stone grinders, beads, bowls, lids, small oil lamps, stone statues, and other ancient artifacts.
The main objectives of my collection are to preserve history and heritage, gain knowledge about ancient civilizations, develop an interest in historical research, and transform my personal hobby into meaningful work. I believe that every ancient artifact carries a story from the past, helping us understand our history and culture more deeply.
In the future, I wish to gain more knowledge about archaeology and history and contribute to the preservation and research of historical artifacts.
