A K M Kamrul Islam

I am A K M Kamrul Islam, and I hail from Chhagalnaiya Upazila in the Feni district. As the son of a school‑teacher father and a homemaker mother, I was raised with a strong foundation in values, discipline, and ethics.

Academically, I have completed my MBA in Product and Fashion, and professionally, I am engaged in business.

Alongside my career, I am a passionate numismatist, with a special interest in banknotes from historical revolutions and the World Wars. As a dedicated collector, I have had the privilege of participating in several prestigious exhibitions, including the Bangladesh Collectors Show 2021, the BNCS Numismatic Exhibition 2024, and the Dhaka Numis Show 2025 held at the Bangladesh National Museum.

To me, these banknotes are more than collectibles, they are historical archives that preserve stories of human struggle, resilience, and transformation. Beyond my hobby, I am actively involved in social initiatives, as I strongly believe in contributing to the community and preserving the legacy of our past.

My Vision:

My vision as a numismatist extends beyond collecting banknotes; it is about preserving fragments of human history that might otherwise fade with time. Through my collection, I aim to build a bridge between past and present using currency as a lens to understand political transitions, revolutions, wartime resilience, and the evolution of societies. I aspire to someday curate a comprehensive archive that not only educates future generations but also inspires them to appreciate the stories, sacrifices, and cultural significance embedded in every note. For me, numismatics is both a personal passion and a lifelong mission to safeguard history in its most authentic form.
