Each year, the festive season was marked by the crisp, unmistakable scent of fresh banknotes brought home by my father. Those pristine notes, straight from the bank, were more than just a gift—they were the foundation of a lifelong fascination with the artistry and history of currency.
What started as a childhood excitement for "new money" eventually matured into a sophisticated passion for the legacy of Bangladesh. Over the years, I transitioned from collecting new issues to hunting for the storied notes of the past. My collection now serves as a chronological map of the nation’s heritage, with a deep focus on rare and historic series.
Every time I handle a rare note, I am reminded of those early Eid mornings and the fatherly gift that sparked my curiosity.
